Spotta, the British pest control startup, just announced it has raised over $1 million in seed funding.  Founded in 2018, Spotta uses AI to identify pests at the earliest point possible, send alerts to hotel managers, and enable them to deal the problem before a serious infestations breaks out. Valued at $18 billion globally, according to analysts at Allied Market Research, the pest control industry is rife for disruption – with estimates that it could exceed $27 billion by 2025.   "For decades, pest management has been held back by laborious, error-prone manual monitoring," said founder and CEO Robert Fryers. This will save billions and massively reduce the amount of pesticide used globally."
